Commissions are open!

​Select a few of your best and favorite photos that show the best color and detail. I would prefer these to be high quality digital photos but in the case that you cannot supply these, I will first need to see the photos. If you are local to my area I am more than happy to meet up with you to take some pictures as well, see my Photography tab. After selecting the pictures email them to me along with any other special requests.  I have a small variety of paper color that may be available as well, such as a tan, grey or just white. I may suggest which color works best. 

Commissions are done in the order received. An inquiry doesn't guarantee your spot until a contract and deposit has been set up.

Below are the basic prices for each medium, contact for a full quote. *Prices below are for 1 subject.* The sizes are for paper size, the actual image will be smaller to ensure it fits the frame, with a minimum of half-inch spacing around each edge. Each subject will be sized to paper then I can start to give you a custom quote.

Ordering for an event? Indicate an approximate time frame you would like your drawing to be completed by. Drawings can take anywhere between 2-4 weeks depending on the complexity and will be done in order received, so please have patience.

Backgrounds:

Colored pencil artwork: these prices are for headshots only and do not include backgrounds, each image will have to be reviewed on a case by case basis. 

Painting artwork: this includes a very simple blended background only with the headshot, each image will have to be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Payment

25% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your space. I invoice through Square Up (which they also accept debit/credit cards) The remaining amount is due upon completion.

The Process

We will be in constant contact once the process begins, work in progress photos will be sent as well so you will be up to date on the progress. I do post work in progress photos on my social media pages, so you can always be up to date because I post more often on those. Once the drawing is complete a digital scan will be sent over to you for your approval. After the final approval is made it will be sealed with a top coat and no further alterations can be made the final payment will be due. Once received the drawing will be shipped with tracking and insurance if your address allows it.

How to photograph your pet

I prefer to have digital images because I work from a tablet while I draw. 

​Think about the angle that you are wanting the pet to face, looking up, down, to the side or even looking away. 

​Turn off the flash. We want to have a natural sunlight so if you cannot take the photo outside, being near a window to let some light in will be best. 

​Think about treats or toys to use as distractions. Maybe even get help and have someone else hold the toy or treat while you are taking photos. 

​Depending on the type of photo you want, you want to be eye level with the pet. You can try many different angles to get the effect you are looking for. 

Armor (below) is an acrylic painting with a simple background.
